Virtual Pole Flow Foundations

This 60 minute class is for pole beginners who would like to learn and practice the basics. We’ll start with a warm up, preparing our bodies and our minds for growth and exploration before we break down the mechanics of some foundational pole moves. Students will have an opportunity to expand their pole movement vocabulary while allowing space for creativity as we gradually progress each skill. For safety and for students to be able to grip and climb the pole, please refrain from wearing any lotions or oils on the skin. Skin and hands should be dry and bare. Proper attire: booty shorts, crop tops, sports bras, bodysuits/leotards (legs should be bare), bare feet are preferable, socks okay.

Intro to Pole

Have you ever wanted to try pole but thought that you didn’t have the upper body strength or the “right” body type to be successful at it?  This class is for you!  Who it’s for: Intro to Pole is designed for TOTAL beginners to pole. It’s also for those who want a refresher on the correct techniques to safely execute basic moves. What to expect: We will warm up our bodies in a way that prepares us to get on the pole successfully. We’ll learn how to walk, do a few basic spins including dip turns and back hook spins, build strength towards climbing and inverting, and add in some sensual floor work. You’ll learn a brief, simple flow that puts it all together.  We will not be climbing or inverting in this class. What to wear: You’ll need to wear shorts and a tank top – no need for heels. Avoid wearing big jewelry or applying lotion before coming to class. Also, kneepads and leg warmers are suggested for floor work. Please be prepared to share a pole with one other student, which is a common practice in all NYC pole studios. PS – This class is open to TOTAL beginners, so please don’t be shy about signing up if you have never done pole dancing before!

Pole Level 1

If you’ve taken Intro to Pole at our studio or elsewhere, Pole Level 1 will help you get to the next level in your pole journey! Prerequisites for this class is to have a basic understanding of: – walking around the pole – body wave – dip turn – back hook spin OR 3 prior “Intro to Pole” classes either at PoleArity Palace or another pole studio. After we warm up for 15-20 minutes on the floor and the poles, we’ll focus on conditioning and basic choreography while building strength towards climbing and inverting. Examples of tricks we will work on include: – fireman spin – chair spin – pole sit – carousel kicks. Please contact the studio or instructor directly if you have any questions about the class prerequisites. In person Late Cancellation and No Show Policy: – All customers get 1 grace (no charge for late cancellation or no show) per year. – No shows for drop in classes or with a 5 pack membership forfeit the price of the class and are charged a $7 fee. – Late cancellation (within 12 hours of the beginning of class) for drop in classes or with a 5 pack membership forfeit the price of the class, but will not be charged a penalty fee. – Unlimited Membership holders will be charged a $17 fee for a no show or a late cancellation. – Workshops can be cancelled with an hours notice for no fee. A no show to a workshop will forfeit the price of the workshop, but the class can be gifted to a friend for free if you cannot make it.
